A New Service
Our vision at South Head Anglican Parish is to be light for the city and refreshment for the soul. As a church, we recognise our need to ensure that everyone can hear and respond to the call of Jesus, regardless of age or stage. In order to respond to the growing number of families in our area, we realise we need to try something different in the form of a new service.
Every Sunday in June we will be running a 4pm Church Service in the St Peter’s Hall.
Anyone is welcome to come along and see what our new service is like!
What can you expect?
The 4pm service will have a contemporary style of worship with liturgy from the Anglican Prayerbook incorporated throughout it. We will sing worship music led by a band, hear the Bible read and explained, and spend time in prayer and fellowship together.
Parts of our service will focus on teaching the Bible to kids alongside adults, and at other parts, kids’ activities will run separately during the service.
The hall has several adjacent spaces where kids ministry can happen simultaneously, including a separate craft and activities area for younger kids, and an outdoor area for older kids to run around and partake in a short Bible study. There is also a connected cry-room and a quiet play area in the service for parents with toddlers and infants.
The service will run for around an hour and be followed by having dinner together onsite.
