Glorifying God in India during COVID

Over the last few months, Christians have given generously to help people suffering with COVID in India (through the Archbishop of Sydney’s Anglican Aid).

Here is a short video showing Robert Kumar of Herbertpur Christian Hospital thanking churches for their support and talking about the impact in the region.

We at SHAP sent donations to this hospital at a time when they were overwhelmed by needs for medical equipment. Anglican Aid, through whom we gave the money was able to respond very quickly to their needs because of their existing support work for the hospital.

Herbertpur Christian Hospital is a 100-bedded hospital situated in Doon Valley at the foothills of Himalayas. It was founded in 1936 by Dr. Geoffrey Lehman and his wife Monica to serve the hill-tribe people. It is now run by Emmanuel Hospitals Association, an Indian Christian charity. It has a medical ward, a surgical ward, paediatrics, a (basic) ITU, operating theatres and an ED, as well as a large outpatient department.
