  • 20 December 2021
  • Andrew Keene

The last Parish Council of the year was a short Zoom meeting on 16th December (the 37th Anniversary of Stuart and Jane’s wedding at St Michael’s). Stuart opened in prayer and presented his report, including:

  • Briony Davidson has been offered full time work at Kambala and will step down from the ministry team at SHAP on January 2nd.  Stuart offered appreciation for her ministry.
  • The vestry meeting will be held on March 6th 2022
  • Eddie Bosch has agreed to be Rector’s Warden up to that date
  • Christmas services are planned and gazetted
  • A “new normal” appears to be emerging – where we are ministering to a large number of people in smaller groups.

Other matters reported by wardens and property officer..

  • The bathroom project is close to final completion
  • We have received two quotes for damaged stonework at the entrance to St Michael’s and have selected a preferred solution for work in the new year
  • We have received a grant for Solar Panels on the Hall Roof
  • Financially, we broke even on ordinary church actives in November, which means we are still ahead of budget for the year thanks to the continuing support of our congregation.
