Dear Colleagues in Ministry,

I’m writing to let you know about an upcoming event at St John’s Cathedral Parramatta in our “Cathedral Conversations” series:

Should Christians Get Involved with Politics?

Thursday 30 June, 630pm. St John’s Anglican Cathedral Parramatta.

Should Christians get involved in politics? What does the Bible say? What is the legacy of Christianity in relation to politics? What are the learnings of a Christian politician? Which party to join? Where is there room to compromise? How to think about parties with significant anti-Christian sentiments? What happens in politics when Christians vacate the field?

We will be joined by former Deputy Prime Minister John Anderson. The event is deliberately non-partisan with representation from across the political spectrum – we’re looking to encourage responsible productive engagement, irrespective of political leaning.

We will not be livestreaming this event. It would be helpful for people to register in advance to help us plan catering.

I also attach a graphic to allow for easy advertising.

Thanks for reading this  – I know how much mail we all get every week!

With every good wish in Christ

David
