Three years ago our Parish partnered with the St. Michael’s Institute to support Briony Davidson’s ministry training, her work in the Chaplaincy program at Kambala and her deployment to the ministry team at SHAP. Briony’s role has involved ministry across a range of areas that included running groups for young people, leading services, preaching, teaching and music. Briony will complete her studies in the second half of 2022 – and will graduate with two Master’s awards. She has been offered (and has accepted) a full-time teaching/ministry load within the chaplaincy department at Kambala. This is exactly what her studies and her deployment sought to achieve and we are delighted with this brilliant outcome. Your support has been critical at every step of the way and we hope you will keep on giving to support Briony as she finishes her studies.Briony will continue to attend SHAP as her circumstances allow and we hope to hear her preach (and sing) from time to time, in the not too distant future. Please join with me in congratulating Briony on her achievements so far and in celebrating her wonderfully fruitful time among us. Briony’s last formal Sunday (as a team member) will be January 2nd – the same day we welcome Jeff and Annette Ware.
