A couple of Sunday’s ago we heard Prayers from a member of our congregation who we haven’t had the privilege of hearing in St Michael’s previously. Although I am very aware she has prayed in front of my other congregations before. It is always interesting to listen to the way people meet this challenge and how different subjects and causes/passions come into play. Special prayers are written by the presenter who usually prays for members of the congregation in need of prayer, prayers from all around the world where there is trouble or need and hope for a better world. There is a wonderful opportunity for anyone who would like to pray in front of the congregation on Sundays – normally only one day per month and how rewarding to be in a position to draw people closer to God. May the Lord’s name be praised.
