Welcoming & Integration
Recently we had someone come and worship with us at South Head who was simply visiting.  She will shortly be moving out of Sydney, so it’s unlikely she will come again in the future.  In such circumstances, it’s tempting not to pay much attention to making sure we welcome them and look after them while they are with us.  But people in the congregation did make sure we gave this person the legendary SHAP welcome, and chatted to her long enough to find out how we could pray for her, and this we did later in the week.  Thank you!  I can’t think of a better way of showing people God’s love, and that we care about each other, than by assuring people we are glad to meet them, and will pray for them, even if – or maybe especially if – we’ll never see them again!
