At all times of year, the generosity of Anglicare’s supporters enables us to do so much more than would otherwise be possible. This is never truer than during the Christmas season, when the impact of financial hardship and personal difficulties can be felt even more sharply. I’m writing to convey to you my heartfelt thanks for sharing the joy of Christmas through your support for Toys ‘n’ Tucker. This year we were delighted to be able to reintroduce the traditional Toys ‘n’ Tucker approach of food and gift collections, while also retaining the online giving model for those who prefer to participate in this way. Thanks to the enthusiastic support for both options we were able to pack and distribute thousands of food and toy hampers to families throughout Sydney and the Illawarra who would otherwise have gone without. I’m pleased to share with you some scenes from one of our hamper distribution days, held in partnership with MBM Church Rooty Hill.
