An Asian Inspired Community Lunch
- 16 October 2025

On Wednesday, 1st October, we had another wonderful Community Lunch in the St Peters hall. The theme was Amazing Asia, and we enjoyed a bit of a travelogue around some of the vibrant countries of Asia. We heard from Kay Brun about her and Rudy’s mission trips to many Asian countries and some of their exciting escapades in bumpy planes without seat belts, helping to transport chickens and goats!

We enjoyed Asian quizzes and some singalongs as well as a Chinese dragon dance lead by Doreen and the team. As usual the volunteers did an amazing job, welcoming guests, serving food, clearing plates, making coffee, as well as singing and dancing along to everything!
We were pleased to welcome two representatives from Woollahra Council, Emma and Grant, to our lunch. They said how much they enjoyed it and it was lovely to have the opportunity to publicly thank them and the Council for their ongoing support and grant to help our costs.
We look forward to our final lunch for the year on November 5th when we welcome the choirs from Cranbrook and Kambala to sing us a collection of Christmas songs.
