Bread of Life Volunteers Wanted

Every Sunday Bread of Life provides food, friendship and hope for those on the margins in our city. For the past 25 years St Michael’s Surry Hills, and now Vine Church, has provided almost 50,000 meals to people doing it tough.

For over 15 years, a team from South Head has been serving breakfast on the second Sunday of the month. A wonderful team of volunteers has been working hard in this ministry. We would love to grow this team to make It an even more sustainable way to serve!

Each member of the team (usually a team of six) is asked to bring fruit and we supply sausages and bacon.  We meet at 6:45am to cut the fruit, cook eggs and bacon, make coffee and set up to serve breakfast from 7:45am.  We then clean up and are usually away by 8:45am.

Volunteers are usually rostered once or twice in a three-month period. Contact Wendy Jarratt at wendy.jarratt@gmail.com if you would like to find out more or join the team.
