Community Lunch Reflections – August

Another wonderful Community Lunch was held last Wednesday at St Peters hall, Watsons Bay.

This month’s theme was: ‘When we were young’ and there were songs to sing and much to recall from the days of our youth, as well as warm chunky vegetable and chicken soup to go with delicious sandwiches. Two of our dear Moran friends, Bruce Andrew and Barbara Crouch, read two appropriate and delightful poems from their youth. The entertainment jogged our memories as we thought about games we used to play, favourite toys and things we used to do back in the days before television (remember those days). Our SHAP team of wonderful helpers did their usual splendid job, ably led by Jane and Stuart. Much joy was brought by friendships new and old as we shared a couple of warm hours together on a cold winter’s day. We give thanks to God for happy memories and the way he has blessed us across the decades.

Please consider joining us next month, as usual the first Wednesday at 11:30am at St Peters. You are most welcome, as is anyone and everyone from the community.
