Annual General Meeting 2026

Our church AGM is happening on Sunday the 22nd of March at St. Peter’s at 12pm. All church members are welcome to attend. The purpose of an AGM is to review the previous year and also look forward to what is to come. We give thanks to God and seek to move forward under him, to seek the glory of his name. At the AGM, we will seek the appointment of Wardens, Parish Councillors, Parish Nominators and Synod representatives. Budget papers and other reports will be made available in the week leading up to the AGM.

The Agenda is as follows:

  1. Opening Prayer
  2. Preliminary matters
    • Receive declarations.
    • Election of a Minute Secretary. 
    • Determine whether a quorum is present (7 people).
    • Receive apologises.
    • Give directions for the confirmation of AGM minutes. Foreshadowed motion: That the minutes of this AGM be confirmed at the first meeting of the incoming parish council.
  3. Reports Concerning SHAP
    • Rector’s report.
    • Annual report.
    • Wardens Report.
    • Financial Report.
    • Budget for 2026.
  4. Election of Wardens and Notification of Rectors Warden
  5. Appointment of an Auditor
  6. Election of Parish Council
    • Should there be an elected parish council or should parish council simply comprise wardens and rector. Foreshadowed motion: That there be one elected parish council for the South Head Anglican Parish.
    • Should there be an additional 3, 6, or 9 elected persons to the SHAP parish council? [Note: the rector appoints 1 additional member for every 3 persons elected].
    • Elect members to the Parish Council.
  7. Election of Parish Nominators
  8. Make recommendations to the incoming Parish Council
  9. Close with the grace: ‘The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all, evermore. Amen.
