Taste & See | Dinner and Discussion
12-1:30pm Sundays | 24th & 31st May, 7th & 14th June
St Michael’s Vaucluse
Taste & See is an invitation to explore questions of life and faith over good food, good company and good conversation. Over four weeks and four different meals, we will examine four big ideas about God around the table.
This course is for anyone who wants to learn more about the Christian faith, no question is out of bounds and there’s no assumed knowledge required. Whether you are looking into faith for the first time or a seasoned churchgoer, there’s a seat at the table for you.

An overview of Taste & See

Week 1. It Was Good
We kick off with a vegetarian banquet celebrating food fresh from the earth and exploring the wonder and beauty of God’s good design in Creation. We discuss how can we know God?
Week 2. What’s Gone Wrong?
This week we break all of our own rules and indulge in a deliciously greasy fast-food feast. We investigate what’s wrong with our world today and why is there so much that is broken?
Week 3. The Great Rescue
This week we share the significance of an ancient symbolic Middle Eastern meal that celebrates a story God’s rescue. We’ll see how Jesus used this meal to explain how he had come to rescue us.
Week 4. Future Hope
This final meal is an international banquet in celebration of the new life that is offered to all nations by Jesus.
