What a great night! Around 40 women of various ages and stages gathered at St Peters Hall last week for a fabulous evening of sharing stories, hearing some truly inspiring tales and chatting over delicious food and drink.

The core part of the evening was interviews with three of the women from our parish. Alison Keene spoke about her work as the Asylum Seekers Centre and the need to demonstrate love and acceptance and render assistance to all of God’s people Annette Ware reflected on her decades-long career at Abbotsleigh and spoke about the significance of modelling the Christian life in her daily work. Finally, Harriet Gee, a radiation oncologist and researcher at Westmead Hospital, offered insight into the challenges and deep fulfilment of caring for seriously ill patients from diverse backgrounds.

It was a thought-provoking evening – and a chance to meet women from across the parish and welcome some new faces into our midst. And the good news? If you missed out this time, another Ladies Night is already planned for 2026.
