Prayer

Every Tuesday evening at 7.30pm a group of us gather together on zoom to pray for each other and to pray for those who have need of our care and concern.  We have a friendly, welcoming chat beforehand and through this window we have got to know each other and offer prayers for many and varied needs.  We have prayed for safe relocation of some of our parishioners who have recently moved; we have prayed for HSC students; for a lovely young lady suffering from anorexia; for young people suffering from mental illness;  for the many who have contracted COVID and we recently prayed for a premie baby who sadly didn’t make it, although we do know that God has him in his keeping and for that we are eternally grateful.
We place our requests before God who has promised that ‘when two or more are gathered together in name’ He will grant their requests. Prayer is a mighty weapon at the disposal of every man or woman who loves God, and knows His son Jesus Christ. … Prayer also energizes the heart of a believer through the power of the Spirit. Consistent prayer also releases the power of God’s blessing on every life and circumstances.
