Pastoral Care
Being an example / being available is demonstrating ‘God’s Love in Action’ for His children / His family.  We extend His love of being an example / available to our families / friends / neighbours, and the stranger, and enemy who do not know Jesus Christ as their saviour and Lord of all.
For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”  (Mark 10:45 ESV)

Throughout Jesus life He was the perfect example of love. He cared for the poor … (John 9:1–7), He welcomed little children (Matthew 19:13–14).  In Matthew 25:35-39 ESV) Jesus explained to the disciples … stating when I was hungry you gave me food…

Well, where is this going you ask.  Since the start of 2022 many of our brothers and sister at SHAP have needed a little bit more of Tender Loving Care (TLC) some of had hip surgery, some cataract surgery, abdominal surgery, or dealing with mental health issues such as anxiety and depression and loneliness.  Other folk situations in their lives that have changed their circumstances.  Chatting with some on how they are going all have sung the praises of SHAP brothers and sisters that have answered the call of being an example and being available to listen, to helping in a variety of ways demonstrating love and support.

Praise and thank the Lord for the witness that SHAP is to each other and the wider community of being an example of love, hope, compassion, kindness, available and giving time.
By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:35 ESV).
