Scripture in Schools
This last term of the year we are discussing being a Kingdom Kid and what that involves, from the importance of reading the bible to know God and talking to God, giving thanks, what it means to let your light shine and meeting together. This week we learnt the Lord’s prayer. Hallowed be your Name has nothing to do with Halloween I replied to one of the students in Year 4. I find the kids do look forward to the last few minutes of the fun part of the class, because we play a game of quiz for the books in the bible, from what is the last book of the bible, to what are the four gospels. As I keep repeating the questions week after week, they finally know some of the answers. Another fun activity for the kids, who complete their work faster than the others, is the large find-a-word Bible puzzle. I am so grateful to Nerita Smith. She teaches the Kindergartens at Vaucluse every Fridays. Being a first time for her to teach this year, she is very much enjoying her class of ten kids. Praise God for the full 4 terms of Scripture compared to last year.
