As we seek to be a church that is a light for our city, it is a great privilege to partner with organisations like Anglicare and the One4Life ministry. Here is a message of thanks from Rev. Matthew Redmond:

Dear Rev Matt Aroney and the South Head Anglican Church family,

We want to express our deepest gratitude for your incredible support of One4Life over the past year. Thanks to your generosity at the Supper at Sunset fundraising dinner, which raised $11,600, we’ve been able to continue our vital ministry to those in Government housing across South Sydney. Your prayers, connections, and financial contributions have been instrumental in transforming lives in this community in and around Redfern.

However, we would like to update you on some changes within the ministry. After careful consideration, Seti Latu has decided to step down from his role as Community Chaplain. This decision was influenced in part by the complexity of the role but, more importantly, due to family commitments. Seti accomplished great work during his time working with One4Life, Redfern and we are incredibly thankful for his contribution to the community. It is important to know that throughout his ministry, he received ongoing support, mentorship and guidance from the church and Anglicare, including access to counselling resources. We wish Seti and his family the very best as they embark on their next chapter.

As we look to the future, One4Life is currently discerning the best steps to ensure the unique needs of the community continue to be met. Rev. Matt Johnson is taking time to prayerfully consider the next direction for the ministry. We invite you to join us in prayer as we seek God’s wisdom in this process.

Once again, we praise God for your unwavering support, and we encourage you to remain connected to the One4Life ministry through ongoing prayer and involvement. Together, we can continue to bring hope and love to the most vulnerable in our communities.

Thank you, and may God bless you all.

In Christ,

Matt
