What a wonderful four weeks we shared together at Taste & See!

Across the month of June, 22 people gathered around the table to enjoy good food, great conversation, and to explore the story of the Bible together. It was a delight to see people asking thoughtful questions, sharing ideas, and discovering more about who God is.

Each week’s meal reflected the theme we were exploring. We began with colourful salads and fresh fruit, and explored the idea of God’s goodness reflected in creation, through it’s beauty, order, and tastiness.

The next week, over charcoal chicken, chips, and donuts, we wrestled with the question, ‘what’s gone wrong with the world?‘ and saw how there is a rift between humanity and God.

In week three, we shared a traditional Passover meal of roast lamb, flatbread, tabouli and baklava, learning how God rescued his people and how Jesus used that very meal to explain the meaning of his death to rescue His people.

We finished with a joyful multicultural banquet (starring Angali’s delicious curry, sushi, Middle Eastern salad, sticky date pudding and mini pavlovas) as we looked forward to the great banquet God promises, where people from every nation will gather together in His kingdom.

We’re so thankful to everyone who joined us. As a church, there is always space for people to explore the Christian faith, ask honest questions, and discover that there is more to experience of God’s goodness.

Psalm 34:8 invites us to ‘Taste and see that the Lord is good.’
