Bread of Life

Each Sunday morning at Vine Church in Surry Hills, five teams of volunteers take it in turn to serve breakfast to marginalised and vulnerable people in the community.

For over 12 years a team from St Michael’s has been serving breakfast on the second Sunday of the month.

Companions are offered a time of bible reading and prayer, as well as a breakfast of eggs, bacon, fresh fruit salad and tea and coffee, together with food that has been donated by Oz Harvest.

Even during Covid, a faithful team from St Michael’s has continued to turn up to show God’s love and care for those less fortunate than us.

With major building works at Vine Church not scheduled to finish until the end of the year, preparing and serving breakfasts has its challenges, but we do the best we can.

Please pray for this ministry and the safety of the teams and the companions and give thanks that Vine Church has continued to care for these very vulnerable people.
